Free After-School Tutoring at the Moose – 3:30-5pm – La Merced Moose Lodge – The La Merced Moose Lodge is offering free after-school tutoring for students, K-12, from 3:30-5 p.m. on Fridays, at the lodge, 306 Rio Communities Blvd. Certified teachers will provide help in math, reading, science and social studies. Belen Farmers’ Market – 4:30-7pm – Anna Becker Park – The 2025 Farmer’s Market begins June 13, and will open every Friday throughout October 4:30-7:00 at Anna Becker Park

El Corazon de Belen Community Garden Work Day – 9am – El Corazon de Belen Community Garden – Here’s your chance to help spruce up a corner of downtown Belen. The Downtown Partnership is hosting a work party this Saturday in this public pocket park. Weeding, cleaning, painting, and laying gravel are some of the activities planned. Work gloves or garden gloves are recommended. Call the number on the flyer for more info. Refreshments will be provided. Come meet your neighbors!

Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – 11am – 3pm – Historic Tomé Jail and Casita – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
