Jewelry Show – 11am-5pm – Tomé Art Gallery – Tomé Art Gallery, 2930 N.M. 47, Tomé, will hold a Jewelry Show from May 4-31. All kinds of jewelry, included beaded, silver, fused glass and more. The gallery is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.

Special Orchestra Performance – 3-4pm – Belen Public Library – The Valencia County chapter of the New Mexico Special Orchestra performs on the second Friday of each month from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Belen Public Library, 333 Becker Ave. in Belen.

Saturday, May 10th

Stamp Out Hunger – Before your mail runs! – Fill a bag or box with non-perishable food and leave it at your mailbox before the mail arrives. Your letter carrier will pick it up! P.O. Box customers can bring food directly to your local post office. There are 20 New Mexico communities participating, including Belen! Donations in Albuquerque benefit Roadrunner Food Bank. Mother’s Day Breakfast – 9-11am – Rio Communities Fire Station – The Rio Communities Fire Department Auxiliary is hosting a free breakfast for Moms on Saturday, May 10th. Suggested donation of $5 for guests!

Spring Garden and Art Event – 9am-2pm – Becker Ave. – The Belen Art District will hold a Spring Garden and Art Event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 10, on Becker Avenue in Belen. Spring Fling – 9am-2pm – The Belen Art League Gallery and Gifts – The Belen Art League will hold Spring Fling Vendor Event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 10, at the Belen Art League Gallery and Gifts, 509 Becker Ave., Belen.

Guitar Lessons for Kids – 10am-12pm – Belen Public Library – Guitar lessons are offered at 10 a.m. every Saturday at the Belen Public Library. Lessons are also free and open to the public, ages 5-15. Guitars are available for children to use during the lessons, and to check-out so they can practice at home.

The Spirit Lives: No Vacancy – 12pm-5pm – Studio 508 – The Spirit Lives: No Vacancy The GRID Gallery presents a photographic exhibition of The Kuhn Hotel curated by Megan Malcom-Morgan and featuring artists, Joanne Ladisa and Jerah R. Cordova. 

This exhibition is the epilogue of the hotel’s voluminous life. The exhibition features photographs that capture the historic Kuhn Hotel (1913-2025) in its final chapter – raw, real, and storied. The exhibition is a tribute to the hotel, its history and the women – Ruth Kuhn and Joan Artiaga – who dared to dream within it. Open every Saturday and Sunday through May 31

Open Meeting – Valencia Comunity Action Network -3-5pm – Meadowlake Community Center – The Valencia Community Action Network, a local nonprofit, will hold an open meeting from 3-5 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month at the Meadow Lake Community Center, 100 Cuerro Lane.
