MLK, Jr. Art Contest
Open to all Belen Students and Grades
- K-6th Grades for prizes
- 7th-12th Grades for monetary prizes
- Entry Deadline: January 10, 2026
Create one of the following:
- Create an image of Dr. King
- Create a work of art about what Dr. King’s speech “I have a dream” means to you
- Create a work of art that represents cultural diversity
- How does Dr. King’s dream tie into your personal experiences and/or goals
Entry Requirements
- Can employ any art medium, ie. poster, diorama, clay, etc.
- Must use standard poster board for posters
- Do not write name or identifying information any place on your entry
- Complete the attached form and submit with your entry
- Winners must attend Candlelight Vigil on January 19th to receive awards.
- Awarded January 19, 2026 at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Candlelight Vigil 6pm at the Belen Public Library
