Tome Gallery Pottery Show – 11am-5pm – Tome Art Gallery – Put your gardening gear on and come visit the Tome Gallery’s “All Around the Garden” Pottery show!!! The show opens on July 26th through September 5th! The opening and activities are August 8th from 9:30am – 4pm. It’ll be fun!!
Sevilleta Nature Connection and Confections – 12:30-2:30pm – Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge Visitor’s Center – The second presentation in our Sevilleta Nature Connections & Confections series will be this Friday, August 14 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm at the Visitors Center. Come learn about archaeology on the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge from Natalie Sanford, the US Fish & Wildlife Archaeologist for New Mexico and Arizona. Details are in the attached flyer. Oh, and desserts will be served!
NM Special Orchestra – 3-4:30pm – Belen Public Library – The Valencia County chapter of the New Mexico Special Orchestra performs on the second Friday of each month from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Belen Public Library

233rd Our Lady of Belen Fiesta – Friday – Sunday – Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church – The 233rd Annual Our Lady of Belen Fiestas, keeping the tradition but also incorporating new events. This year, Romero Funeral Home – Belen is bringing new contests to the Fiestas. Along with the annual Salo Garcia Chile contest will be for the first time ever at the fiestas, a biscochito contest along with a tortilla contest. All you women and men out there, start thinking of your best recipes for this great contest. Sunday, August 16 at 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00. Another reason to come to the fiestas. Winners will be announced right before the big Darren Cordova y Calor concert
