Free After-School Tutoring at the Moose – 3:30-5pm – La Merced Moose Lodge – The La Merced Moose Lodge is offering free after-school tutoring for students, K-12, from 3:30-5 p.m. on Fridays, at the lodge, 306 Rio Communities Blvd. Certified teachers will provide help in math, reading, science and social studies. Belen Farmers’ Market – 4:30-7pm – Anna Becker Park – The 2025 Farmer’s Market begins June 13, and will open every Friday throughout October 4:30-7:00 at Anna Becker Park

Toys for Kids Fundraiser – 5-7pm – Secundino Baldonado American Legion Post 81 – Come join us for some burgers and fries. All proceeds will go to the Toy for Kids Toy run. This will bring toys to the children of Valencia County. Event by American Legion Riders Chapter 25.

Guitar Lessons – 10am – Belen Public LibraryGuitars are available for children to use during the lessons. Guitar lessons are offered at 10 a.m. every Saturday at the Belen Public Library. Lessons are also free and open to the public, ages 5-15. Guitars are available for children to use during the lessons, and to check-out so they can practice at home.

18th Annual Captain Tamara Long-Archuleta Memorial Open Karate Championships – 10am – Belen High School Auditorium – ** THE 18th ANNUAL CAPTAIN TAMARA LONG ARCHULETA MEMORIAL OPEN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS ** – OCTOBER 18, 2025 – Belen High School Gymnasium 1619 W Delgado Ave, Belen, NM, 87002 Registration begins at 8:30am Tournament starts promptly at 10:00am KATA, KUMITE, WEAPONS $50 for up to two events. $5 additional for weapons. $5 discount for schools pre-registering 10 or more competitors by October 11, 2025 Spectators $3 (7 and under free)
