Weekend Events June 8th – 9th


This weekend we have a lot going on! So much music in different ways, but especially with Belen Stock. Check out the events below and find something perfect for you!

Saturday, June 8th

BELEN STOCK – 9am – 8pm – Becker Ave between 1st and 4th Streets – 5 Live Bands, Artists, Comedians, Art Vendors, Merch Vendors, Raffles, Giveaways, Kids Contests (3 Kids will play tambourine with the band), Car and Motorcycle Show, Food Trucks, and Much More!! The stage will be set up in the middle of the 2nd street intersection.

Guitar Lessons – Belen Public Library – 10am – Belen Public Library – Children’s guitar lessons will be held at 10am on Saturdays.

Belen Art League – Arts & Crafts Sale – 10am – 4pm – Old Becker St. Pub next to Smokal – The Belen Art League will be hosting an indoor arts and craft sale during Belen Stock from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 8. Local artists will be selling their ware inside the old Becker Street Pub, next door to Smokal. Chavez Winery will be on site. Call 505-463-3688 for more information or booth space.

Veteran Mental Health Awareness Fundraiser – 10am – 3pm – 212 Becker Ave – Smokal will be hosting a Veteran Mental Health Awareness fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 8, at 212 Becker Ave., Belen. There will be a raffle for a signed pro boxer glove, bongs, accessories and more, signed Kobe Bryant basketball cards, BOGO deals, industry pop-ups and a Valencia County pet adoption event. All proceeds will go to Paws and Stripes.

Music Saturdays in the Desert – 12pm – Ka-Hoon Plateau Hame De Colquhoun 470 Powerline Rd – Music Saturday takes place on the second Saturday of each month throughout the summer. Just 42 miles south of Albuquerque, in the middle of nowhere, come camp, play, and enjoy live music under the beautiful New Mexico skies!

VCAN Open Meeting – 3pm – 5pm – Meadowlake Community Center – The Valencia Community Action Network, a local nonprofit, will hold an open meeting from 3-5 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month at the Meadow Lake Community Center, 100 Cuerro Lane.

Sunday, June 9th

Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – 11am – 3pm – Tomé Church Plaza – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
